Marin Shakespeare company Presents: The Tempest - Now through September 14
On a mysterious island where magic and humanity intertwine, Prospero conjures a storm that shipwrecks old enemies, compelling everyone to confront past resentments and reimagine their futures. The story weaves themes of forgiveness, redemption, and the delicate balance of power, daring us to consider: can we truly make amends with the past and embrace the promise of transformation? Marin County Parks: Kites n’ Kites - Saturday, September 6, 2025, 12 – 2pm
Join Ranger Rocky at Upton Beach for a fun, kite-themed afternoon by the coast! We'll kick off the day by learning about white-tailed kites. After that, we'll build our own kites and enjoy flying them at the beach. Dogs are okay but must be on a leash. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Free Family Day at Marin MOCA - September 14th

This free program provides art-making opportunities for parents and families to create with their children. A fun and educational alternative to “screen time,” the program is taught by professional art instructor Wendy Ricks in a variety of media – from painting and drawing to mixed media. Our Family Day instructors and assistants, will explain the art-making process and will provide guidance when needed. (Source)

Marin County Parks: Family Walk: Spiders - Sunday, September 28, 2025, 10am – 1pm
Spiders are everywhere, and this is the perfect time of year to see spiders of every shape, size, and color. We’ll learn how they hunt, how they make their webs, and how to identify many common species. Total miles: 2. There is little elevation change but there is a short, steep climb between the parking area and the main trail. This walk is offered in partnership with Marin Water. $8 parking fee. Remember to bring lunch. No pets are allowed, except for service/companion animals. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required. (Source)

ConnectFest 2025 Family Science Festival - Sunday, September 7, 2025, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Saturday Harvest Markets - Saturday, September 6th - 9:00am -1:00pm
Celebrate the bounty of the season at the weekly Harvest Market, hosted at the Sonoma Garden Park, owned by the City of Sonoma and managed by the Sonoma Ecology Center. Each Saturday, the garden comes alive with fresh, sustainably grown produce, vibrant flowers, and farm-fresh eggs harvested from the park’s own fields, alongside offerings from local neighbors. You’ll also find regional favorites like honey and olive oil.

Enjoy a monthly celebration of Sonoma's vibrant businesses and local artists. Join us every first Thursday of the month. Mexican Brunch – Family Cooking Class - Sunday, September 28th, 10:00-11:30 am
Join us for another Sunday family cooking class with Chef G! This time, we will make Mexican crepes (also called queqis) along with Chilaquiles con Chorizo.
