  • Goodie's Kids' Fair: Enjoy a petting zoo, arts and crafts, and more at this Mill Valley event on August 4th. 

  • Gravenstein Apple Fair: Enjoy this Sebastopol event on August 12-13

  • Sonoma County Fair: Kids 12 and under get in free on Thursday, August 8th at the Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa

  • Outdoor Movies: Enjoy free family movie nights at Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. 

  • Concerts: Catch live music at Concerts on the Green in Novato. 

  • Bay Area Discovery Museum: Explore this museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge with indoor and outdoor play areas. 

  • Creekside Friday: Enjoy the last Creekside Friday event with Marble Party at the Tennessee Valley Cabin on August 9th. 

  • Live on the Avenue: Enjoy live music in downtown San Anselmo on Friday and Saturday evenings. 

  • Shakespeare in the Park: See a free production of Shakespeare in Old Mill Park in Mill Valley. 

  • Circus Vargas: See the "Bonjour Paris!" show at the Village at Corte Madera from August 2-21. 

  • San Anselmo Live on the Avenue: Enjoy live music at Creek Park Amphitheatre on Friday and Saturday evenings

SAN FRANCISCO

  • Nihonmachi Street Fair Get ready for a vibrant cultural explosion! The 51st Annual Nihonmachi Street Fair is coming to San Francisco's Japantown on August 2nd & 3rd, 2025! Join us for an unforgettable weekend celebrating the rich traditions and dazzling diversity of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

  • MakeArt Family Day August 23, 2025 invites visitors of all ages to experience the magic of art-making as a means to explore MCD’s exhibitions and build intergenerational connections. From 12 – 4 PM, our galleries are filled with hands-on activities allowing visitors to learn and explore the techniques, materials, and themes of our current exhibitions Beau McCall: Buttons On! and A Roadmap to Stardust.

  • Cultura Fest Join us on August 23, 2025 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in downtown South San Francisco for Cultura Fest 2025!

    Free to attend, Cultura Fest is a vibrant celebration of culture, identity, and creative expression. While many Salvadorans in the U.S. have blended into broader Latino communities, the need for a space that truly reflects their heritage still remains.
