  • Novato Farmers Market | Every Tuesday Throughout September , 2026

    Come check out an abundance of fresh produce from local farms, fresh prepared foods from local vendors, crafts, and more. Each year the Novato Farmers Market grows and improves, and boasts an impressive array of some of the Bay Area’s finest food purveyors, producers, farmers, and ranchers. The market also features activities for the kids and great live entertainment for you and your family to enjoy while you shop.

  • Tam Valley Oktoberfest - Saturday, September 19th, 2026

    Marin County kicks off Oktoberfest season with this family-friendly favorite at the Tam Valley Community Center. There will be games, a bounce house, food, beer, and live German music from Deutscher Musikverein of San Francisco and Blowmusik! to mark the start of fall.

  • Movie Nights at the Mart! - Every Friday Throughout September, 2026

    Grab your blankets, bring your family and friends, and enjoy weekly classic films. Dinner, snacks and sips to go for the show are available from your favorite Mart shops. You can park on site and there is free ferry lot parking after 2:00pm on weekdays.

SAN FRANCISCO

  • Gardens of Golden State Park: Flower Piano - Daily September 10th - 20th, 2026

    Celebrating its 10th anniversary, San Francisco Botanical Garden will be filled with music for everybody. At each of the 12 pianos, there will be scheduled professional and community partner performances as well as open play time for anyone to sit down and play. Flower piano is free, with the option to upgrade to have a premium festival experience (buying your tickets in advance is convenient but not required).

  • Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival - Saturday - Sunday, September 19-20th 2026

    Experience Chinatown with multicultural entertainment, traditional lion and dragon dances, arts and crafts, lantern village, moon cakes and children's activities! The event is free and it’s fun for the whole family.

  • Lowrider Parade and "King of the Streets" - Saturday, September 20th, 2026

    See car culture on full display! Starting with the Low Rider Parade, followed by the King of the Streets competition, and finish the night off with the lowrider car show. The show will feature over 300 cars and all events are free and open to the public. This is a historic, first-of-its-kind celebration of Latino culture, heritage, and community pride.

  • Healdsburg International Short Film Festival | Friday-Sunday, September 25-27th, 2026

    A premium film festival experience in the heart of California's Sonoma Wine Country. View a variety of short films, from drama to comedy, documentary to animation. There’s many screen times and viewing packages, ranging from the free kick-off event to a whole weekend all-access pass. Make sure you check out their website for times and options.

  • Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival - Thursday - Sunday, September 24-27th, 2026

    Centered on Sonoma Plaza, the weekend features wines, live music, local food, and signature events that invite visitors and locals alike to gather, celebrate, and connect. Many of the activities are free, with special events tickets available for pre-purchase as well as the day of the event.

  • Petaluma Fall Antique Faire - Sunday, September 27th, 2026

    Petaluma’s annual fall antique marketplace features a quality selection of art, estate jewelry, vintage décor and more from more than 200 dealers. Admission to the street fair is free and antiques are available for purchase.

    Location: Downtown Petaluma on Kentucky Street, Fourth Street and Western Avenue, and in the A Street parking lot.
